Welcome! Glad you found me. πŸ™‚

Congrats on the new edition to your family. I wrote an article a little while back that addresses all of your questions: “The Do’s and Don’ts of Taking Care of an African American Baby’s Hair.”

These are your easy months so use this time (before her hair makes the full change) to keep reading and researching as you’re doing. Finding the right products will be trial and error; but if you’re using Johnson & Johnson, I’d go ahead and move on from that. Wash her hair once a week with a sulfate free shampoo. Shea Moisture and Cara B. are good baby lines to start with. Seal her hair with a natural oil like coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil to seal in moisture. πŸ™‚
