Is lotion a good moisturizer? My 5 mnth old has eczema, and she breaks out even from vaseline. Since her lotion wrks on her, is it ok to use on hair

Is lotion a good moisturizer. My baby girl (5 mnths) has eczema and breaks out even from vaseline. So since we have found a product that she doesn’t breakout from, can I use it on her hair? I have been using it, but I have not been sealing it with an oil. Her hair is REALLY dry looking. What do you suggest?

Like body lotion? I wouldn’t recommend that at all. Those generally contain perfumes and tons of cheap ingredients that aren’t meant for our hair. So does vaseline. Vaseline can seal moisture out. If you apply it to dry hair you could actually just be sealing dryness in. I would stick with natural oils like extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil. Adding a few drops of tea tree oil to either one of those in an applicator bottle will help out tremendously with her eczema. 🙂
